    Houston is named after Sam Houston who served as a general of the Texas army and president of the Republic of Texas. It's the largest city in Texas and fourth largest in the nation. The area was established on the Buffalo Bayou by the Allen brothers in August 1836. Houston is one of the nation's largest seaports. Major annual events include the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Houston International Festival, and the largest livestock exposition in the state with championship cowboys and popular entertainers.

    Knoxville played a vital role in the early development of Tennessee. The city was officially founded on October 3, 1791 by General James White and named in honor of General Henry Knox, Secretary of War in President Washington's cabinet. In 1796 Tennessee became a state and Knoxville became the first capitol. Today Knoxville is a scenic city where nature and technology meet. With its four gentle seasons, Knoxville provides a year-round destination for travelers. Knoxville events include: Dogwood Arts Festival, Tennessee International Wine Festival, and Tennessee Valley Fair.

The University of California, Santa Barbara, is located 12 miles west in Goleta. Santa Barbara area is home to many celebrities and a wide variety of attractions. Annual events include: Hang Gliding and Paragliding Festival, Whale Festival & Week of the Whale, Summer Solstice Celebration, and Old Spanish Days Fiesta.

    The resort city of Fort Lauderdale lies about 25 miles north of Miami. Nearby Lauderdale-by-the-Sea proudly features the only living coral reefs in the U.S. accessible from shore. Noted for its beautiful homes and boating activities, Fort Lauderdale has long been noted as a vacation and visitor destination. Fort Lauderdale events include: Sistrunk Historical Festival, Florida Marlins baseball, Cajun/Zydeco Crawfish Festival, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, and the Riverwalk Blues Fest.

    Cheyenne, the name itself reflects its past and history. Experience and "Live The Legend"! The legends of yesterday came alive as history and progress stand side by side and Cheyenne a town carved by pioneers was molded by the great railroad. Cheyenne was named after the tribe of Plains Indians that once roamed southeastern Wyoming. Rustler's, warring sheepmen and cattlemen, gamblers and gunfighters earned Wyoming's capital nickname of "Hell On Wheels".

    The town keeps it spirited past alive during Frontier Days in July. During the ten day extravaganza you will see daily rodeos, horse races, carnivals, parades, country music shows, square dance contest, the fine arts, and variety of foods. You can also view the best Western wagon collection and memorabilia in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum located next to Frontier Park.

    During the cold war the United States armed themselves with intercontinental ballistic missiles which can be found at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Visit the F.E. Warren Museum for the history of Fort D.A. Russell and other history relating to life during the late 1800's.

    Points of interest and things to see in and around Cheyenne is the Wyoming Arts Council Gallery, the Wyoming State Museum, the Historic Governor's Mansion, the "Big Boy" Steam Engine, the French Merci Train, the Engine 1242 (oldest locomotive in Wyoming) located in Lions Park. See the historic displays and photographs in the gold dome Wyoming State Capitol Building. Botanic Gardens is a 6,800 square foot three sectioned green house conservatory. It has one of the regions largest and most unique solar energy demonstrations. During the winter months it has a colorful display of flowers and trees.

    For a western experience visit the Terry Bison Ranch, which is located near Cheyenne. The ranch offers an entertainment and family oriented western experience which includes horse-drawn wagon tours, horseback riding, bison, and home-cooked meals.

    Cheyenne surroundry allows for plenty of outdoor activity from fishing to hiking in the mountains.

    Founded by Methodist missionaries in 1841, Salem is the state capital of Oregon. The area is rich with history and activities. Performing and visual arts, agricultural festivals and farmers' markets invite visitors and resident to enjoy a variety of festivals and events. History abounds at the Mission Mill Village and family-fun locations thrill youngsters of all ages. A growing number of wineries are located on surrounding hillsides. Events include the Oregon Wine & Food Festival, Scottish Heritage Festival, Sheep to Shawl Festivities, Salem Rodeo, Oregon State Fair, and Festival of Lights Holiday Parade.
