Located on the South end of the Great Salt Lake, here's where the Mormons
trekked west in 1874. The small area population grew rapidly aided by folks
heading to the California gold rush communities. Today, people revel in the
area's abundant outdoor recreation pursuits including skiing, hiking, and
biking. The city is enjoyed by both Mormons and non-Mormons alike and
includes a variety of attractions including Temple Square, Trolley Square,
Salt Lake Art Museum, Hansen Planetarium, and Utah Museum of Natural
History, among many.

thousands of tourists. In the late 1880s, guest houses were sprinklet along the
beach. It was here that author Robert Louis Stevenson stayed and was among the
first to praise the famous Waikaki Beach and surf area. Diamond Head is a
symbol of Hawaii and is one of the most recognizable landmarks on earth.

District. Ft Pickens, and Ft Barrancas are historical forts that protected
our shores during the Civil War.
